Hi Guys

I am trying to get my turnouts to work digitally using my ECoS ESC Command Station, but unfortunately failing. I'm hoping someone can offer some advice.

Here's what I have:

  • Marklin C Track Turnouts (20611/20612)
    Marklin Electric Turnout Mechanisms (74491)
    Marklin Digital Decoders (74461)

Here's what I have done thus far:

  • Screwed the electric turnout mechanism to the track
    Assigned an address of 101 to the turnout by switching the following DIP switches 1,3,6,7 to 'ON'
    Inserted the digital decoder cable (yellow, red and brown) into track and the other wires into the electric turnout.

Then, with the ECoS, I did the following:
Created a new accessory selecting the following parameter values
  • Protocol = DCC
    Name = "ABC123"
    Duration 250ms
    Address = 101

I was now expecting the turnout to work, but it doesn't.

I have tried turning the ECoS on and off, tried a second turnout with a new decoder and a new digital turnout....but it still does not work.

Am I missing any key steps?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

If anyone from Sydney, Australia wants to get in contact, I would be also most appreciative. I'm in Pymble.

Regards, Richard

Correct, I don't think the 74461 decoders support DCC, but I believe Marklin are releasing some new decoders sometime this year which do support DCC.
