I'm sure this has already been asked, but I cannot seem to find a thread on this. Is it possible through 3rd party adapters or modules to connect a 60653 Mobile Station 2 to a 6021 Control Unit? I know the MS2 would only have the functionality that the 6021 is capable of, but it would be beneficial as a mobile controller.

I have seen posts regarding connecting the Mobile Station 60652 to the 6021 using Uhlenbrock devices 63810 and 63820, but apparently that will not work for a MS2 according to an Uhlenbrock distributor.

Has anyone successfully accomplished this or is it just not a possibility?

Cheers
Peter

MS2 talks to the sytem over a CANBus.
So it's almost impossible to connect il to the old 6021 (unless some "device/blackbox" exists somewhere, not from Maerklin)

The MS1 talks to the system over a CAN bus. There is an adapter for MS1 (actually two: from CAN bus to LocoNet bus and from LocoNet bus to the I²C bus of the 6021).
But for MS2 they invented a new CAN bus "language", therefore MS2 cannot "talk" with the old trackbox, the old Uhlenbrock adapter, or the old Central Station.

I haven't heard of an adapter for the MS2, but IMHO the adapter for the CS1 shows that this can done technically.
If it could be done legally and would promise profit, somebody would have done it.
Regards
Tom
