I know that the new MTH Proto-Sound 3E+ HO locomotives will run on Marklin analog controls and on DCC (as well as MTH's DCS), but will they also run on the older Marklin Digital systems (pre CS2 and MS2)?

Thanks!

On their site and in their catalogue they write about DCS, DCC, and Motorola 1/2.
So theoretically these locos should work with 6020, 6021, and MS1. But I don't know which restrictions may apply (maybe there are restrictions with respect to programming locos).
Theoretically locos should also work with a Delta Control.

I just tried running the MTH GG-1 with the Marklin 6021 controller and it doesn't work. The MTH instructions make no mention of using any Marklin digital control systems, so I think it will only work with the CS2 and MS2, which operate with both Motorola and DCC formats.

UPDATE! Last night I realized my mistake. I forgot to set the DCS-DCC switch to DCC. This morning I did that and the locomotive ran perfectly on the 6021 control.
