I recently bought a CS2 60215 and while feeling my way around with track planning, I noticed that when I touched the stylus on a certain part of the screen, one of my turnouts on a different part of the layout would activate.
I then went into setup: calibrate; while calibrating, the lower right-hand corner calibration mark came on briefly, then disappeared before I could touch my stylus to the 'crosshair' I continued to calibrate the rest of the screen as requested but when calibration was over, the onscreen pointer is so far out of position that I cannot move it over the 'setup' menu; i.e when I touch the upper right corner of the screen with the stylus, the pointer only comes about halfway up adn I run out of screen to get it to move up to where it needs to be.

How do you get into calibrate move when unable to access setup to get into calibrate in the 1st place? Is there a way to get into setup without the touchscreen stylus?

One observation: IMHO the instructions supplied by Marklin with these CS2's is woefully inadequate when you have to hunt for so much information and details elsewhere.

Try using a USB mouse to calibrate it instead of the stylus, for me it made things much easier.

Gordon: Great advice; thank you so much for that tip.

It worked like a charm. It's amazing how far behind the power curve one can get when exposed to something new and unexpected.

Cheers!

John

Hi John,

Glad to hear it worked for you, ThumpUp I had the same problem, was tearing my hair out trying to calibrate it with the sylus, Cursing. New technology is great, but can definitely be a challenge sometimes.

Hi!

This would not happen if the calibration process would not allow two clicks within two seconds.
Those who ask for help on the Internet normally have a suitable mouse and are able to solve the problem. How about those who don't have PC and Internet?
Regards
Tom

Good points Tom, this should not be happening, is not the friendliest way to get introduced to the CS2, a touchscreen that at goes crazy right out of the box.

But no pc, or internet that would be roughSad
