Hi Arild
Check that you have the red and brown wires connected the correct way round at the CS2. I had a similar problem and found that I had reversed the red and brown wires.

Thank you Mike this solved the problem Hi all I have the same exact problem. My CS2 won't get the k83 decoders to do anything. I saw the answers here, so I checked all the connections, dip settings, voltage, everything, but still the k83 won't do anything I tried several k83's just in case is a problem of the decoder, but still no luck BTW, the k83 were working just fine, but I don't know what happened (I disassembled my layout to start a new one) I have tried k84 and m84 and they all work just fine Any ideas?? (I also updated to latest version of CS2, but the problem was present before the update) Any help will be highly appreciated Esteban

The k83 were just fine, and also the connections of the CS2. I was doing the connection of the accesories wrong, and also I was specting to hear a "click" on the k83 (as k84 does), so since I didn't hear the click (which now I know k83 doesn't do!!) I thought it was not working Everything is fine now
