I am NOT into weathering of loco's,i prefer to keep them factory clean.
If you fancy weathering, you may be interested to know that Hornby have a series of weathering instruction clips on Youtube which could be of use to you.

Example:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7a3pgN7xy4

I once purchased two A4 Hornby steamers, simply because i like the loco type.
Because of that purchase i joined the Hornby collectors club on internet.
If you are into British (steam) trains Hornby could be an option.
I like their complete trainsets, the loco's are pretty well detailed.
Prices are fair too.
Note that the loco in the clip above was made in China, but is that bad?

Cheers,
Paul.

I have a small amount of Hornby locos and rolling stock. I actually got those before I started into Marklin mainly because it allowed me to have European trains and still use my 2-rail stuff. One day i will get them set back up when I create a bit more space in the playroom. Their quality is good though not quite to Marklins standard.
Marklin HO and Z also Hornby 00 and US 2-rail
