This really is an example of Bablefish translation gone wrong !!!! Dead funny biggrinbiggrin!! "Reinschauen" is not even proper German but South German colloquial for "hineinsehen" and means "look into". But "Rein" also means clean ...

"Vorher" obviously wasn't in the database, therefore they left it standing. It means "before" or in this context more acurately "ahead"

What they are saying at Märklin is: "that's why we're off to a fresh start....... Club members can look into it (online) before it arrives (in print).

Enjoy though !! [:p][:p]
I like M-track and my things that run on it were built between 1959 and 1972.

Hi,

I wonder if I have lost my mind. My April/May 2005 issue of the Marklin Magazine says on the cover,
"Break-In in the Marklin Museum Million Euro Burglary Solved - Police Catches Thieves". I turn to the story on page 22 and it says again,, "Police Catches Burglars" and in huge letters, "Theft Solved". I then read the story. There is nothing in it about the burglary being solved.

Is there a page missing from my copy or do I need some professional help?

Jack

Hi Jack,

I've noticed the same inconsistency in my Dutch version of the magazine. For comparison I have the German Magazine as well and apart from a slightly different coverphoto there is also a remarkable difference in the text concerning the theft. The story in the German magazine is consistent with the text on the cover, theft not solved that is!
Might be that the covers of the international versions are printed at a later date with updated news, while the text of the magazine is a translated version of the original only.

Best regards
Guus

Kind regards,
Guus

Their is a simple explanation. No one proof reads their material and stories that were submitted prior to the return of the stolen M items were not updated or corrected. The growing pains that M is experiencing with the new material will I'm sure be corrected in time(I hope).

Stephen,

Lets hope they hire a proof reader. At the prices they are now charging, they should be able to afford one.

Hi Adrian, All,
yes - mine came yesterday too! Still no sign of a credit card charge for renewal, even though I did the "on-line" renewal a LONG time ago...
regards,
John.

Not to worry M will invoice everyone in May. That's the word I got from an informed dealer friend. The way M has been working they will most likly invoice it twice since they duplicated so many of the invoices.(I hope not)

Well, on the other hand, the Portuguese navigators of yore were actually the first (years ahead of the Brits) to set foot in Australia and even established a secret colony that lasted for a few years.

Not that this had anything to do with this conversation......
