Nice items Ian, but I think thick rubber gloves and rubber soled shoes are needed for that transformer LOL LOL LOL LOL

Hi Glenn,

I agree...Smile

Will set it up so as to look like it's controlling the layout, but will use a more updated version for running the Loco's.

Ian.

Looks really great, Ian. I am actually thinking about buying some Hornby too as they are much more affordable than pre-war Marklin 00 but have the same great look. It is also a little less stressful to run them around the tracks :-)

Also there is more variety with English livery models and English outline whereas Marklin just has the E 800 LMS and a few others with English paint scheme. I think Hornby and Marklin 00 would go great together on a layout.

Best,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks, yes you're right, the track does look very good, I'm looking forward to setting up a modest layout.

Ian.

Hi Ian,
Interesting hobby collecting old Hornby Dublo, and you have got some nice items there. I find the controllers actually work quite well.

About the turntable, I believe it would more than adequately fit OK in a Marklin layout. I don't have the room for a turnatable on my Marklin layout, but I would certainly try the HD one.

regards
Kimball

Hi Ian,

Regards the level crossing, when complete, they came with a half rail length.
It had two strips of bakelite between the rails to simulate the roadway. Easily obtainable from eBay.

Hi all,

Last Saturday, as part of our 2 day Club Meeting, we all met at the Falkirk Model Railway show, we spent around 3 hours, but try as I might, I couldn't find any Märklin Smile , but did get this Hornby Dublo Station for that layout.

Ian.

Hi Ian

Looks nice with the trains in front. ThumpUp

From here it looks like the station name is Newark - if that is right, Newark looks a little different these days.

Hi Mike,

Newark is the name of the station, and I'd hope it looks a little different now...Smile
