I see a lovely little bagagge car from Trix for 2004 T24305, It is a pretty era 1 with a conductors cupola.

Can it be run on three rail tracks with out damage. I think so, no issues with other cars run to date.

How hard to convert to three rail ?? Question for you experts.

Good question, I've been interested in this item too...

Putting a pick-up shoe underneath it will be more difficult. Anyone tried it allready?

I think the model is the same as the car in the Märklin 43982 set. I haven't got this set yet, maybe someone else can check how the bottom looks and post pictures. As I recall in this set the cars are coupled with current conducting couplers, the pickup shoe is placed under this car.

Hi Frostie,

Quite a time ago we discussed this topic but recently I bought myself a 43982 car set. The bagage car looks the same as the 24305 made by Trix. If you would like to have pictures of the bottom of this 43982 bagage car I can send them by e-mail or post the here. I also have pictures of the spare part pick up shoe and additional parts which are supplied with the set for use without a current conducting coupler on the loco. (37971/34971)
I guess that if you can acquire the pick up shoe (no 20 0137) and the other additional parts you could use the Trix 24305 on your layout. wink

Maybe this will help:

I hope and believe it will be the same as the new Trix car.
The bottom of the 43982 car...

.. and the additional parts including pick up shoe (20 0137)
Unfortunately I can't find numbers of the other parts showed.

Frostie, If you would like to have the additional parts as shown on the last picture. I've found a packet of these in one of my boxes with parts... So I've got one set of parts left. wink
The item (20 0137) is according to http://www.maerklin.de not available anymore...
