Is the decoder plate connected the correct way to the MTC-21 pins, and not upside down?

I'm just asking this stupid question since I have made that mistake myself with an ESU decoder once... Blushing
Have never used this decoder myself, so I cannot tell, but I hope other members may have some tips regarding the 60949...

Good observation. I'm afraid the decoder was installed the wrong way around (the black plastic thingy at the connection should be visible).

There are 21 pins and 21 holes. One pin for every hole.

A word of warning: according to the ESU decoder manual, that plastic thingy is away from the loco PCB for models from Hobby Trade, HAG, Märklin ...

... but towards the loco PCB for models from Brawa. No rule without exception ...

I'm glad to hear the decoder is still working.
