Hi Ian,

That is € 14,00 (??).
Good buy !!!!
Hopefully it is in good condition.

I found out that if one stacked the track pieces, the sharp metal edges at the bottom of the track, can and will damaged the paint off the sleepers of the track under it. Stacking M track/ 3600 track is therefor never a good idea, but everybody does it.

Marco

Hi Marco,

The track looks ok in the photo, but will need to wait till it arrives.

Now, if some of it had the 1mm center rail (1935) then that would be a very good buy.Smile

Ian.

Ian,

I must warn you, do not look too long in that shop, they have so much beautiful 1930s /1950s Marklin....., also lovely rare 3600 track pieces, pre war too.

I have bought a 1946 green 341 coach in near mint condition there this morning.

Marco

Hi Marco,

The Loco does not have the instruction booklet with it.....

Will need to wait a little longer.

Hi all,

My new track arrived this morning, most of it is 1936 track (center mounting holes, outside track rails ), and no cutout for cables.

The rest is 1937 to 39 track.

Very pleased with it. ThumpUp

Here's an overall photo.

Ian.

Hi all,

Here's the 1937 to 39 track, you can see the difference in the mounting hole positions and also the cutout for cables.

Hi Ian,
congratulation to a very good and cheap purchase!
Question: how are the 1936 tracks marked on the backside? "Germany" or "Made in Germany"?
Early in 1936 Märklin changed the marking "Germany" in "Made in Germany".

Hi Ian,

F A N T A S T I C !!!
Man, how I love this pre war tracks.....

I counted 22 pieces. Not bad for € 14
Plastic C track is 6x more expensive.

I look especiallythe at the paint of the sleepers, which is the first what will look worn and ugly
But the sleepers looks quit OK !!

Hi all,

This last photo shows the difference between 1935 and 1937 to 39 track.

The 1937 track has a cutout for cables, the mounting holes are inside the tracks and nearer each end and the 1937 track has the 2mm center rail.
