My question is like the title of the post.
Is the Flesichamnn 6052 and the Marklin 7286 the same? I have only photos from both but -apart that the FL turntable is DC and two rail with current and the 72086 is Ac version. Is possible to convert the 6052 to 3 ac version?
I hear your opinion,
Best wishes for all friends from this community!!!

Yes they are pretty much the same. The Marklin turntable is manufactured by Flesichmann, and I think the only differences are that the Marklin 7286 is designed for 3 rail use.

hi dear friends here,
i think the product number of fleischmann which is compatible to maerklin is 6652, i have two of these and operated it in the early 1980's successfully with the m-track series of maerklin, it was even possible without using connector tracks k-track/m-track , but i don't remember exactly how i did it. what you should keep in mind if you want to build a 'very' realistic layout is that this turntable represents the biggest ever used turntable in germany (not many of these were in use), i think the prototype lenght of the 'bridge' was 28 meters, more common were the 22 or 24 meter ones. btw, the extension set number of fleischmann is 6653.

good luck with building and planning

Hi Alfred,all,

I am not sure but I *think* the FL/M TT is 27M and used mostly for the BR 10.An BR 01 or 44 should fit on a -standard- 22M(Roco or a Hapo)

FL6052 is designed for 2-rail operation. FL6652 was designed for 3-rail operation and I believe it is identical to M7286. (I have a boxed FL6652 that I'll be using on my new layout. It is designed for use with Märklin K-track and I'll be using adaptor track 24922 for connecting to C-track).

On the other hand, if you can arrange a third rail on the conneting rail parts, then I see not problem to modify the turntable bridge of FL6052 to 3-rail. I've read that it has a metal center part which isn't connected electrically, that is used for the third rail on FL6652 and M7286. In addition the two outer rail should be connected electricall to each other.

FL6652 was discontined quite a while ago. I had an old FL6652 which I only used for 2-rail Dublo. When I came to use it with Marklin 15 years later it would not work. There was a manufacturing fault with the two metal deck strips which act as a third rail. Marklin did let me have the two replacement strips as I was able to prove to them they were electrically faultly. To convert a FL6052 to a MK7286 you will need these parts. Look up FL6652 exploded spares on the Flieshman site and you will see the parts required. Fleishmann no longer hold these parts anymore, your only chance is Marklin. However as said before they will only supply the spares on a Warantee claim, which is fair enough. I was very lucky and patient, it took 6 months to work out with Marklin service the Marklin part numbers involved. Twice the wrong parts were sent. Details about it were posted on this site about 12 months ago.

Cheers
Bryan.
