The coolest Kof yet- "Motorsport Edition" Anyone know more?

Joined: 05/12/2004(UTC) Posts: 2,865 Location: CA, USA		All, In my random googling, I came across this guy and stopped dead in my tracks: http://www.museoferrovia.../TrasfMoretta2011_bg.jpg Motorsport fans will note the Valentino Rossi "46" logo as the numberplate :) Only in Italy.... does anyone know more about this loco or who it belongs to? its not on the roster of the museum who's site I found the image on. After 5 years in Moto Grand Prix around Valentino, I need one. Which Marklin Kof model do you all think is closest in terms of attachments? A custom paint project is in the works...

There are two recent close matches....depending on if you can/want to paint or not. 36829 "mandarin" is very close in color. I believe it is based on a Kof II. It does have the tanks on top of the roof for obvious difference. However, if you are willing to paint, go for the 36823 which seems to have all the components in their matching location. However it has the duller red paint. They both have independent telex couplers too!

I may need to just fabricate one. The SOB Kof is close but I'm going to paint the whole thing (or have painted) so no difference on the color, the right equipment is more important
