Roco v200.1 Available in four versions for DC and AC with and without sound. (62931,62932,68931,68932) Running number V 200 126 Lenght - 212mm. Sounds - Yes, many. A little too loud by default. Decoder + Motor = Unknown Detailment - No Issues noted on K-tracks and C-Tracks. Childen? - Age 14 and over. Coupling? - Standard Roco couplers for Maerklin trains Headlight? - Three white in front and two rear red LEDS changing with direction of travel Smoke deflectors? - NA Default address: 3 Traction Tires? - 2 on each end. Four total. Cab detail - Basic Functions see video Overall, I really like this loco. The sound functions are extensive and it's very quite when you don't use the sound. I would have liked interior lights in the cab, but that's not a big deal to me. The detailing is beautiful, grab handles and windshield wipers are very nicely done. Paint is perfect as is the printing. The body is made of plastic, but the overall weight is still a hefty 519 grams, 18.3 US ounces. Note at the beginning of the video that the box is clearly labeled Made in China. I think compared to the price of the Marklin v200, this loco represents excellent value. Hope you find this useful. Thank you for your very informative review Mike!
I think the decoder is ESU Loksound.

I got the blue-beige era IV version, as BR 221, model #68842 (note: the 68842 does not have sound). It's a great detailed, nice and smoothly running loco.
The only disadvantage is the fact, that the red rear lights can not be controlled seperately.

Thanks for the review.
This is one of the Roco models I'm considering, especially since the Marklin version is too expensive (compared to their other Bo-Bos), still use lightbulbs, and crucially, the newest version's motor have been downgraded back to DCM-grade for cost reasons.
In some Youtube clips, I've seen Roco V200 operating suitably well together with Marklin BR218, which is another important aspect for me. |
Now collecting C-Sine models. |
