My friend,there are more nice trains for sale,for less money.
I just purchased a factory new Maerklin 3168 NS1200 for only Euro 140.- .

All three trainsets still exist, but in an extremely bad, deteriorated condition. They haven't seen any service since 1993 and were sold to the Prignitzer Eisenbahn in the early 2000ies, who wanted to reactivate the trains. This, of course, never happend. Eventually, in the mid-2000ies, also plan fell through to operate the new Munich-Nuremberg-Express with ET 403.

All three ET 403 were bought by a private association now, who want to restore at least one trainset as a museum train.
