Hi can anyone tell me how the Piko hobby locos run on Marklin K track. Piko do some nice Hobby range locos based on SNCF diesels. Such as a BB67400 and a bb66000 THE 66 is what i want, but will it go round the curved points and the tight left and right turnouts. I now the decoders are not good i will replace it with an MFX Marklin one if it will run on the K track. Please HELP

I have a couple of the Piko hobby locos and they have no problems going round my radius 1 and 2 curves, including curved turnouts. However, my layout is C Track, so I don't know if there's any difference running them on K Track.

R1 is the same on C and K, 360mm...so I can't imagine there would be much of a difference.

I have a Piko cattle car (54033) that de-rails sometimes on K track 3-way turnouts, but I think this may just be a function of weight or me not having swapped it to Marklin couplers. At any rate, it's not a loco.

Brandon, have you tried changing the wheelsets to the AC ones? I had some derailments with Piko wagons and as soon as I changed to the correct wheels the troubles disappeared.

I have the Piko Blauer Blitz with an extra intermediate car 5045/5045. I've had this for several years and operate it on "K" track.
My ETE chapter has a module layout of which I contribute 2 modules, all "K track and have never had any problem with operaton.

Ray,

I have not, and this is probably the problem. Thank you.
