Hello all. I will be visiting Zurich soon and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on which dealer(s) to visit? I am interested in finding items that are hard to find in the U.S. Any help is appreciated. Regards, Mark

Mark,

Roundhouse is an absolute MUST: www.roundhouse.ch Stock is unreal, service not so friendly though.

While you are at Roundhouse, there is a little shop literally a block or so down the street. I believe it is called Niesser? Worth a run by there, same lady has run it for 50 years!

Also, right by the main train station is Zuri Tech, they usually have some interesting used stuff, although their selection os new stuff is less focused on the obscure than Roundhouse

Enjoy!

I think that the post above provides the essential information. Roundhouse and Neisser can be reached by taking the Tram 14 from the Bahnhof going south to Birmensdorferstrasse or by taking the S-Bahn to Zuerich-Wiedikon Station.

For other shops in the Zuerich area, here's a list:

I would also check out Aebi from the list.

If you have an hour or two, you can take the train to Luzern and then the local to Meggen Schwyz and check out Suter Meggen. There is also Barp-Tech in Winterthur, Bercher und Sternlicht in Basel, Bahnorama in Bern and Eyro and Buehler in Interlaken BE so no matter where you go, you can find trains.

Regards

Caution: While Eyro is a very reliable Internet dealer, they do not have an actual shop (but if you wish, you can contact Christian Eymann in advance and ask to browse through his stock).

Buehler is very interesting, but their prices are almost as high as the surrounding mountains... Wink

I concur with Zueri-Tech: Stampfenbachstrasse 14. Just 100 meters from the Central tram stop, which itself is a 5 minute walk from the HB.--MM
