I'm thinking about starting using Kadee couplers on my upcoming C-track layout. I've read in others threads (thanks Pierre Gillard) that the Kadees seems to run fine on C-track. But can I use the de-coupling tracks somehow? Is it possible to incorporate the under-track decoupler with C-track? Any ideas or thoughts?

Hello !
Unfortunately, I have not tested any of the Kadee uncouplers at the moment. But looking to the pictures provided by Kadee, the main concern should be how to install the uncoupler knowing the existence of the center rail under C-Tracks. The only possible option that I see at first look should be to use the Under Track Uncoupler # 308 under a K-Track. But any other comment should be really appreciated.
Pierre.

Hansson,

Kadee's are usable on C-rail, but you need to bend the trip pin a little but upwards otherwise it will catch some "puko's". This bending is best (read easiest) done with the special kadee bending tool.

Decoupling is very easy when using long wooden sticks (used for shaslik sticks, barbeque, in Dutch "sate-prikker"). Just push them between the claws, wigle a bit and it pops loose. Or buy the Kadee uncoupling stick (also cheap).

Update: Have a look at the following page. All about Kadee, K-rails en uncouling!
