Hi all! I have bought a mobile station pretty cheap on eBay to see what all the fuss is about! When I have played with it for a while I plan to use it as an extra controller for the 6021 so I can play with two trains with ease What product(s) do I need to make them work together? Do they exist yet? How much do they cost? Thanks in advance! |

Hi Stefan: 1. Central Station 60212 2. Anytime in 2005, perhaps - but no one knows that for sure ... 3. About € 550.-, perhaps ... Best Regards John |

I heard that there was a cheaper alternative that would make it possible to use the MS as an extra control for the 6021. But i think it was not made by M, perhaps Uhlenbrock? Anyone heard of it? Or am I just hallucinating? ;)

The adapter from Uhlenbrock will let you connect the MS to an Intellibox via Loconet. However, they have a Loconet adapter for the 6021 too, but I don't believe you can connect the 2 controls together via Loconet. |

False and true. You can connect a Mobile Station to a 6021 via two adapters and LocoNet. The Mobile station act as a throttle, and the 6021 will act as central unit. So, the extra functions of the loco should be possible to reach with the normal pictograms, but using the old protocol internally. Some of the new locos with more than 9 functions will have limited function. The Mobile Station to LocoNet adapter is delivered right now, it will take some time before enough have been produced I believe. The 6021 should be delivered last week, but seems to have a slight delivery delay. The two adapters togher aren't for free; but you gain much more than just the connection. That is, if you are interested in other items, like IR throttles, or walk around throttles, or IR train detection, switch boards, etc etc. And your existing white boxes may be used. /Lars Regards, Lars

I just bought the ESU mobile control, and whow, that thing really works amazingly well and is so easy to use. The station just plugs into the 6021, and off you go. You can use the 6021 for one train, and the mobile for a second train, somewhere in a corner, where you can spot it close by for eg shunting operations. Marvelous, I would recommend it to anybody !! Price ? 270 EUR brand new. I am very happy with it Cheers, Bob
