Hi

If you are using C-track, the Marklin book (Das C-Gleisplanbuch) has got some very nice examples and I don't think it's very expensive (about 14.00 EURO).

Alternativley you could follow the links from this site - there are also some nice layout examples on the linked sites.

Regards

Mark

Instead of only looking at track layouts why don't you download Wintrack (from the Links & Downloads section) and do some layout plans of your own? It includes all available Marklin tracks and besides fun it is easy to play with.

I have a copy of a Marklin layout book, 0700, the title of which is,"Gleisanlagen." It is full (almost 200 pages) of layouts in color and tells you the exact part number and amount for each layout. It is more than 10 years old but perhaps they still have it. Lorene USA

Are you using M, K, or C?
Most retailers (in the US) have a stack of C-track track plan books. They are fairly simple, not like the M/K layouts in the 0700 book, but they are free. (I get one with each mail order!) Also, they give a prety good feel for how the track geometry works.
If you are using M or K, I recomment the 0700 book. The English (french, Italian, etc.) translation is a seperate book.
Many of the older catalogs, (1970-1990) have layouts included. Example: the 82/83 catalog has a layout diagram on page 98 that shows an oval and roundhouse siding using three transformers (this was pre-digital :}).

For the more elaborate, maby we could set up a page to exchange designs from win-rail, RR-Track, etc.

Hi all.
The Märklin book that was recomended in the second post is " Das Gleisplanbuch..Das C-Gleiss". It has 29 examples with all the items you need. It´s in German but no need to understand it, cause the track plans are "cristal clear".

Well, on http://peter.funck.net/favorite.htm#Planning under "Layout Planning", you should at least find the following links:

<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> Mike's Small Track Plans - USA
<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> Model Railway Track Plan Book - USA
<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> Märklin Track Plan Book 0330 etc. - Germany

I really like the classic Märklin 0330. Yesterday, I was notified by its host Florian Schmidt that the 0330 has moved to another site. My link is now updated according to this. Note that there are also some layouts from the Track Plan Book 0720 on that site.
