I don't have any Loksound decoders - yet. But I want to hear the sound files for a BR38. I've downloaded:
LokProgrammer PC-Software for decoders of the 4th generation 4.1.5 10.05.11
and also:
54404-LSV4.0-Dampf-BR38-P8-R1-esux
But I find no interface to simply play the sound files. The software assumes I'm trying to load the sound files to a decoder. Which I'm not. Not yet.
I'd appreciate instructions on how to play the sound files.
Thanks, Tommy

Hey Tommy: The software is not sufficient to read the ESU sound files. You need the lokprogramer to do that. With the new generation of ESU sound decoder, there is not anymore a way to listen to the content. However you can turn the difficulty by following this link http://www.esu.eu/en/dow...on-3/loksound-v35/steam/ and click on the little arrow in the fourth column. It will give you a pretty good idea of the sounds you could expect with the new generation. The lokprogramer is a very nice piece of hardware that allows you to do almost everything with your ESU decoder. Regards, Pierre

The same goes for the Loksound decoders Version 4. Not all locos present a section to replay the sound. by clicking onto the loco in question you will see the different sound slots.
