I spend an hour this morning to convert Trix Br241 engine to AC LOL

Trix Br241 konverterad till AC med ljuddekoder från ESU

Does anyone know if Märklin already finished AC wheels for this model?

Time for a walk in the sun Cool

The so called Hobbyloks have the same wheels (afaik). You only have to connect the wires from both side wheels and fit the pickup shoe.
Best regards

No, the wheels of the Trix BR 185 are as nice as the wheels of the Märklin BR 152 - and much nicer than the wheels of the M* Hobby BR 185.

I dunno if wheelsets from BR 152 can be used for BR 185.

Tom

Chances are they can't be used on Trix 185.

Remember that M* BR 152 only has 2-axles powered vs 4-axles powered on Trix 185 - different geometry and gearing presumably.

Few months back, I saw in another forum that someone managed to replace the DC wheels with a certain set of AC wheels w/traction tyres (not sure from what model)

Can't remember where I saw them...
Now collecting C-Sine models.

Both have a worm gear - one with toothpick drive, the other one with direct drive (SDS on the powered truck).
Wheel diameters could be different, brake disks could have different looks, cog wheels could be different. But the gearing has the same concept.

One thing is certain: the Trix TRAXX trucks are prepared for the Märklin sliders.
I'll compare my locos tonight.
