I just got back from Berlin and of course, was just inside and look at LOXX. LOXX is a model of Berlin in scale H0. The track has existed for many years and is sadly starting to show signs of wear, but it is clearly still worth a visit. When I visited the first time 3 years ago they were just starting on the "government quarter". They have come a little further now, but unfortunately there are no trains on this new section. I accedently took a few pictures: I'm not the only one who has created a model railroad in the model. You can just make out the model of the model railroad: I have put several more pictures on my website here: http://www.jornebanen.dk/defaul...?page=loxx/loxx_eng.asp Jørgen |
I just need space, money and time - That's all |

Fantastic layout. I remember while stationed at Tempelhof in the late '80s and early '90s there was a group of model rail enthusiasts who had an extensive layout of Berlin around the 1920's. I've often wondered what happened to it. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Looked at all the shots on your site. Thanks for sharing. Pretty impressive to see Berlin in miniature... even the updated Reichstag with the glass dome by Foster. I have your photos bookmarked and will look again in detail. Thanks

Fantastic job they've done there. Love Berlin and spend alot of time there so it's nice to see a few areas that one recognises.
Thanks for sharing those nice pics!

I am hoping to visit in August with my son, also Wunderland in Hamburg, and any other layouts we can find along the way.
Best Regards

I've been to LOXX already three times on different visits to Berlin. It is a fantastic experience. One can spend hours on end just walking around this gigantic layout and watching how perfectly the trains are controlled. They also have a locomotive and coach display in the room.
My only reservation is that I wished they had used 1:87 coaches for their consists. |
Best regards, Armando García
