Hi,

I have quite a collection of older USA brass locos and rolling stock, and I think Trix C track would be ideal to run it.

So I thought I will buy a large radius turnout and some straights, and a few R9 curve pieces to do some tests. I believe this would be the minimum radius for these types of stock.

Imagine my surprise when on both the Trix.de and Walthers website, my search for these pieces revealed nothing. Search for Trix C - nothing! For C track - nothing! On Trix.de there wan't even a category for "track" in the search section.

Anyway, I found what I was looking for on my local dealers website, where he lists Trix items and prices on a PDF file. So all's well.

regards

Kimball,

http://www.trixtrains.com/new09/2011newitems.html

http://www.trixtrains.com/new09/2011newitems.html
THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT PAGE.
I've lost it again

Unless you are Sherlock Homes, to find anything is pathetic.
You can't find it under the english version and by clicking the main catalogue (2006) you'll find them starting on page 40.

Ok, I'll start again:

Trix-online website, click Produkte, click Neuheiten, go down the page and click Hauptkatalog 2006 and go to page 42, you only can skip 4 pages at a time.

http://www.trix.de/produ...MSITE=&wishednumber=

for some unknown reason they've left the main catalogue for 2006 out (english version).

because you've already solved your search my information may help in future.

Thanks John,

The best link is the top menu bar on Trix.de, then Produkte.
I didn't notice this because I had a Google toolbar covering it.

Under Produkte is a sub-heading, for Trix C-gleis, which takes you to all the product line.

Interesting that I can make a complete circle with the 62912 curve, but not a half circle??? Same as the Marklin 24912.

Kimball,

This sounds like 10 tracks instead of the 12 tracks, you could cut it in half and glue it onto the next track, just a thought.
I've done this on my layout as some tracks have an odd distance between each track from a previous installed traversing table.

Hi John,
I need 30 of the Marklin 24912 or Trix 62912 to make a complete circle (30 x 12º = 360º).
Sorry, it is the 90º curve that is not possible.
180º is OK as a half of 30 pieces, ie (15 x 12º = 180º).

Yes, I can cut one piece in half, and cut the lugs of the joining piece, and glue as you say.

I have ordered one set of large radius turnout, and a few curves and straights to do the test.

Hi all,

I got my Trix C track pieces today.

After cleaning the track, and the wheels of two locos (very important for 2 rail stuff), the test went really well. The locos, both mallet types, crawled through the 62711 wide radius turnout OK. Negotiated the R9 radius curves fine. It is really good quality track.

All I need now is the room to set up a permanent running display with 2 or 3 circuits and my Norfolk and Western coal trains. My back yard won't fit another shed. Well not without the wife's permission that is, which will never happen.

Picture of a mallet on one of my dioramas (which doesn't use C track).
