No longer at my Dads place and missing the train set build Sad Blushing


Does anyone one know if there is any diff with the new release of this crane? Looks identical except for coming with an extra base piece.

so can be controlled by the MS or CS I take it this means?
Nothing indicating if comes with the second/additional base plate or not.

Yes I would say so, if it is anything like my 76510 coaling crane. That can be controlled either by the Playstation type controller that came with the 76500 crane, or with a MS1/MS2/CS1/CS2/6021.

Don't forget that 76501 will take advantage of Marklin's "new" pricing.

Basically, the 76510 has an address, just like any loco does, which you dial up and control the crane with, using the throttle knobs and function buttons. I would assume that the 76501 is similar.

There is also an entry for 76510 in the CS1/CS2 databases, and also for 76500.

Simply load the corresponding entry from the loco database.

I did say "looks" like. Märklin did not respond to my specific question about the base.


New pricing is unlikely to beat ebay Woot I see someone recently bought a new in box 6500 set for 299euro! Razz

Again, your entry posting clearly indicated that you had already read and apparently understood the product description which barely leaves any open question for that part:

I must be missing something here.
MSRP for 76510 might be cheaper, but "new pricing" means that any advantage is negated. For end-buyers, price of 76510 is not any cheaper vs 76500.
In some cases, 76500 can actually be found cheaper (if stock is available).

A few differences in packaging between 76500 vs 76510 as discussed above.

Extra base plate for 76510 vs an extra controller for 76500.
Better value? Depends on each buyer's preference whether one worth more than the other.
Now collecting C-Sine models.
