Hello Everyone,

While it is easy to get hold of second hand m-track, those 7299 screws are impossible to find.. Even my dealer, who has been a legend for stocking real old stuff (but brand new) has none left.

Any ideas??

Just bought the last ones from Curthel.
Perhaps he had some others left........
I don't know but in catalogs the 7599 seems very similar to the 7299, i bought a package of stuff on eBay and among others it comes a box of 7599, perhaps they will work, as soon as the package comes i will let you know if they fit.

Hallo Adrian,

I use track screws from PIKO for K-track. As good as any other, but cheaper (400pcs/3.6€).

Can you not use C-track screws (74990). They are a little smaller (1.6 x 13 mm) but available.

Thanks Francisco... I am ready to relocate the freight yard from under the mountain to a new extention to the layout, but I realised that I don't have enough screws...

Good idea, but I think that the c-track screws are too small for the hole and the track will have too much lateral movement..

I like the m-track screws as they have a phillips head slot, which is great for those awkward stretches...

When I had lots of M-track I went shopping for 000 (US size) screws. Found a box of 100.
Not Marklin, but did a good job for me.

If you need just a few....wink

Thanks McLae... Unfortunately, I have about 70+ tracks still unlaid and I recently purchased another lot that will arrive in the next week or so...

I was hoping to find a metric equivalent... (After all - they do come from Germany?) I tried a search on 000 - got kids clothes, shoes and all types of thousands - no screws... Is there a web-based screw shop? Is there a metric conversion for 000? In the meantime, I will keep trying different things to find these screws..

A good idea might be to search for bags of deadeners in new condition.
And you know Ranjit seems to have a lot of screws, we almost made a transaction but i haven't heard from him in while now...

I use the C-track screws. They are a bit small to work with, but once they are mounted, they do the job like any other screw.

That's a good enough recommendation Mikael, I will give it a try...

I have just ordered the C and K track screws from the dealer.. At the worst case I have some loads for the freight wagons...

My deadners had no screws. Just a bag with the parts. Must have been second-hand.[xx(]

Hint: THe M-track screws are good for mounting electronic stuff, like K83, 6040, and IBwink. Also, You might be able to use Viessmann catenary mounting screws. (I can test this if you wantCool)

Thanks for the confirmation.. I have just sent an e-mail to the dealer to see if there are any left... I don't expect (and I hope) that they were ever a big seller...
