In converting a lok last night, I used the last of my Marklin specialty hardware (the conical head screws). I recall seeing a site somewhere that gave the diameter and length of the different screws that Marklin provides as spart parts. Does anyone have the link to this site? I would sure appreciate it. Unfortuantely metric machine screws are not common hardware items this side of the Atlantic. Next time I am in Europe I plan to visit a hardware store and stock up on a variety of small (m2, m2,6 and m3) screws of various length.

Guus:

Not the one I had in mind, but very interesting. Thanks.

The one I recall seeing had a list of the Marklin numbers of machine screws and other common parts and the description (length, threadcount, diameter, head type). I thought it would be a useful crossreference for the future but apparently I forgot to bookmark it.

Hi Ron

Have you had a look at that booklet by Maerklin about maintenance of locos and cars? Maybe it's there.
I'll have a look at it this weekend.

Cheers,

Nuno Smile

Nuno:

Maybe that's where I saw it. I won't be home again until Tuesday night to check mine...If you can check and let me know, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Hi Ron

Unfortunately, the information you need is not in that book. [:(]

Sorry about that.

Found it!!!

It is in the "Spare Parts CDRom" that is downloadable from the Marklin.com site. This file is somewhat old (last updated in 1998), so I haven't looked at that since I started using the online resource for diagrams.
