Tried to rebuild the incline to level 1. It is still too steep. Tested with the BR 18.1 Delta, it stops middle up the incline with the control knop set to 25 on the 6021 control unit. I will make the incline more smooth by lowering the middle section.
The load regulated trains has - of cause - no problem at all. [:p]

Try and get the incline on the straight section of track. Test run with a loco and coaches... not just a loco. If you have any marklin piers, the maximum incline rise is one small pier per standard length of m track .

Hi
Just a thought,Since you have a nice lot of space, how about re-designing your layout so that the incline is straight and runs down the whole long rear wall of your new layout.

I am glad to see you are doing the engineer thing: do some work, then test. Better you discover that the grade is too steep now than after the scenery is in place.biggrin Less trouble to fix now than later.wink

Looking good otherwise.biggrin Very good quality of pictures.

Thx all ! Smile

I am a novice and I have alot of testing ahead of me, but im confident ill get there some day since I have this great forum to get feedback from Smile

What you see in the pictures on the 1. threat is actually 'only' half the space I got. The full layout will be a big 'C'. The plan was to build half now - since I only have tracks for that at the moment - and then add the last half in a year or so.

But this incline problem of mine seems to call for the full use of space now. If I use all the space now I will have 7.5 m to create the incline from. Then I can, as many of you have suggested me, make the incline on a straight only. The 7.5 m is to the right in the pictures.

I will go to work now - think of my incline problem all day - come home from work - say hello to my family, rush down in the basement - lock the door and redesign my layout. [^]

I'll be back....

Rebuild the incline so that I use the rear wall straight. I still use the first turn to incline 1.5 cm on approx. 1 m track - the rest of the incline, up to 11.5 cm, is performed on the rear wall straight. It makes alot difference [:p]

I have recorded a small film on my digital camera where you can see some test runs (13 mb).
