Hello Smile

I've seen on some of my Märklin model's with sound decoder's that there is a resistor soldered to the speaker.

Is this something I should do on my other model's / conversion's to ?
If so what is the size (Ohm) of the resistor that I shall use ? Looking at the size it look's like 1/4 Watt...

I know there was some issues with "blown" speaker's earlier...

Any idea's ?

Thank's

Hi Pål,

No need to equip other models with a resistor. Mä did it indeed to reduce the chances of LS being blown when the volume was turned up to max. If you are still worried about blown LS, reduce the volume in Reg 63. (Their public argument was funny: customers had complained of the sounds being too loud...).

Best regards, Robert
