I am going to buy Central Station II, but because I have many locomotives not from Maerklin with ESU lokpilot decoder I would like to ask a few questions...
1) Can I add an image of a locomotive that it does not exit in Maerklin's database?
2) Can I add all of Lokpilot's v3.0 (not mfx) functions? (The standards are F1, F2, F3 (shunting mode), F4(ACC/DEC on/off) and lights). If I can then the corresponding icons will be F1, F2, F3, F4 or what ever I want (such as the turtle for F3)?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, you can add any image with a limited size of 6Kb, it has to be in png format.

Yes, you can add any Lokpilot decoder with all functions, also if you are using the multiprotocol decoder you can use them with DCC format and you wil get up to F16.
You can change any F for any of the icons available on the CS2

Regards
Eduardo

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your answers. I am going to buy it for sure.
But should I wait for the new transformer 60061 or not and which is the latest Hardware and software version?
So I can recognize it if someone tries to sell me an older unit? (Updating the firmware hardware version changes also)?
Are the any severe differences between hardware versions.

As far as I know there is no difference between the 60213 and 60214 hardware, the 60213 becomes a 60214 as soon as you update the software.
If you get the 60214 ask your dealer if it has been updated to the last software wich is the version 1.3.0(1) if not you just need to connect the CS2 to your internet network to get the last updated software.

A friend of mine sent his 60213 in for repair - and got a 60214 back.
He said the throttles and the function switches were much better on the new one.

I'd go for a power supply instead of a transformer (and 60061 is a power supply, not a transformer).
My experience is based on MS1 and CS1 however:

anthpao... I was thinking about the 60214 CS2 as well but am curious if you considered the ECOS 50200 (which seems less expensive as well). I am trying to find out the difference between the two and starting a thread to hear what people think.
