Milady and I will be spending a week in Vienna in early May. Is there any good M* shopping in the city? Please note that I am only interested in Z scale, and in OBB models in particular. I'm also interested in good used models too - they don't have to be new.

I don't know how much Z scale each of these dealers stock. You can find a comprehensive list of dealers at www.maerklin.at under Haendler

Gary,
Hilpert is about 2 minutes walk from St Stephens Cathedral and is on the corner of Schulerstr and Strobeig Trains Upstairs. One block away from the southern end of the Church.
Come out of the shop turn Right and up to the church go on LH Side of church and at the end follow the street around slightly to the right and the street will take you into Graben. Kopers are just past the Memorial Wall and on the Left. Take the lift up to floor 2. trains are through a room of toys.

Bannerept are probably another 10 minutes away a bit Diagonally Left as you leave Kopers. You can see it all in Google Earth. Centre on St Stephens.

Thanks for the info, I am heading back to Wien for another FWF hearing in June. The last time I went to Tina's and was very favorably impressed. I wanted to make two points:

1. I got the information at the Hotel Erzherzog Rainer's bar from a bartender who also happened to be a model train enthusiast. Thus, where ever you are you may want to ask the locals, who probably know more about Wien than the readers of this forum.

2. Tina's had one downside: they did not take credit cards, only debit cards; nota bene.
