Hello everybody !

Just been on holiday, guess were ? - Yes that's right, in Göppingen !

Bought the new 66032 for an old engine, but in the instruction
manual they say that the light function on the decoder could be
operated with the function switch on the 6021, but only through
the Märklin Service Department or an authorized repair shop.
Do anyone know how it can be done ? ? ? ? ? ?
Have seen some soldering "bridges" on the decoder,
but don't know if it is for this function or not.

Please reply !!!!

I thought this decoder came with the "lights on/off" as a new standard feature, since the new Delta controller has this as standard... Which in my eyes seemed to be that the new Delta decoder was a "real" digital decoder, albeit with the address limitation, designed to fully replace the old c80. Obviously, it seems like it isn't really so... Usually, when "can only be fixed by the factory" is mentioned it means something on the board has to be soldered, and I guess one of the bridges you have seen is the one - but which? Has anyone out there reverse-engineered the 66032 yet?

Hi all,
You'll have to connect both bridges.
For instruction and photographs see:
http://home.t-online.de/...uergen.schad/66032_e.htm

There actually is a second output, e.g. for Telex, (white) that is operated by repeated change of driving direction.
Lamps can be wired flicker-free. The motor output features 27 speed steps. It carries the 701.43 chip.

Address limitation? Depends on your standards <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
It has an 8-fold dip switch capable to handle 80 addresses, but of course, we have been spoiled by DCC's 255 addresses.<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

The 255 addresses is the extended MM format,'Real' DCC has 9,999 addresses(!)<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

Bart,
I was not aware of that it had "all" 80 addresses available... So it really is a c80 replacement after all.. Good news..<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hello everyone !

Thanks for the help.
Have been checking out the site of Jürgen Scad, it seems like I have
to sodler both bridges on the back of the decoder. There is also some
bridges on front of the decoder, does anyone know what this is for ?

I just got a five pack of these decoders, they were slightly cheaper if purchased this way and came in the original dealer pack.
The box contained 5 decoders, 5 guarantee cards, 5 instruction books, a sheet of Delta stickers to put on the boxes of converted locos, a pink warning sheet and a green sheet showing which two solder pads to bridge!
Having said that, the pads are fairly obvious as they are etched as arrows and are the only two pre-soldered pads on the back of the board.

Does this new Delta decoder have automatic detection of AC/digital operation, or is there still a special switch setting for AC operation like with the old ones ?

Hi Perz, All!

According to the Bogobit site, the 66032 does automatically detect analog/digital. The site also refers to instructions on how to solder (bridge) three solder pads and desolder (disconnect) one solder pad so that under digital control the headlights can be turned on/off with "function" and the TELEX function can now be used as the "F1 function" to i.e. turn on/off a smoke generator.
