I have been running the Gottardo 39540 for the last 12 months with no problems. I set it running today from it's siding and it stopped and a box panel came up on the cs2 and I think it said MFX loco over load so I clicked on the green tick and the normal screen come up but the 39540 had gone from the screen so I went into the menu and it had completely gone. What I did notice was it was on the screen of the ms which is connected to the front of the CS2. The other strange thing is that if you go into the ms train list within the CS2 the loco is NOT in the train list for either of my two ms. I have put the whole loco on the extended program track and it will not register. I have tried it twice and still no luck. Any ideas.

Hi.

What I forgot to say was that I set up the program track on the CS 1 and the loco registered itself in the system and the lights work/horn etc.

Charles.

Let the loc registreer with a MS and then again on your CS2.

I have never lost a mfx loc in my CS1. And I have more then 90 locs in my locdatabase.

It can also means that your CS2 has to litlle power left. So it is maybe time for a booster.

If I register the loco on a length of track with the ms connected when I connect the ms to the cs2 it wont register on the cs2 will it I thought it was the other way round. A booster is in place already.

this kind of behaviour has been discussed already, but I don't remember which topic...
( it happens sometimes when a MFX loc has been registered successively with different stations....or something like that...)
I think PERZ ( a member of the forum) may know the solution...( he is the one who gave explantions about it)

Hello Charles,

just try a reset of the CS2 and try again the registration. Make a backup before.

If I do a back up on a memory stick then do reset how do I get the back up back on the cs 2
because I have spent the last day or so putting the lower level of my layout onto one of the layout pages and if I louse all that info I will be well and truly jarred OFF.

First try a reset of the loc not your CS2.

My mfx locs are used very often only with a MS on little c-rail track layout en then back to the CS1. I never had any problems.

Problem fixed. I just set the whole train on the program tank one more time and ha presto it logged itself back into the CS2. I think the CS2 thought would be kind to me today.

If i did used Marklin digital,i wouldn´t using MS togehter with CS2!
I prefer only an CS2 which is enough,if not less the new MS2 will been arrived out!
Either MS2 or CS2.
That´s enough for me without trouble shooting!
So far i have not decides yet.
Good for you,Charles to find the problem and solved it!
