Hi Everyone,

I love the islands of my birth. Period. Howver, on October 20th 2009
I sent a wire transfer of US$1,000.00 to Germany for an item I would
really like to get. Belongs to a tip top gent who has been way beyond
understanding. Dec 27th. 2009 still not there. It is unbelievable. It
is a once in a lifetime chance to acquire this piece and would have
been the icing on my Christmas cake. But there it is. I hope that I
can persuade this outstanding gent to be patient a bit longer.

Jeremy.

Sander I humbly ask you to kindly intercede on my be behalf. The bank
is trying to trace the problem.JP.

Jeremy, I think that there has been a problem with your wire transfer and you should request your bank to trace it and tell you what has happened. It's obvious that it isn't normal that a wire transfer, even one from Barbados to Germany, takes as much as 2 months to get to the target account.

There are 2 types of Bank transfers
a.) you go to the bank and asked them to do it or you do it over the internet.

by doing it over the internet you are usually asked which bank it is and its location (city)
If you don't use the bank that is provided by the search field you may find it does'nt process the transfer.
another factor is you have to acknowledge the tansfer by accepting the amount and this will give you a receipt number.
Somewhere you may selected the wrong city or maybe the wrong bank.
By looking at your bank statement a.) you should see the amount has been taken out in the first place and secondly, your bank could advise you if it has gone to the right bank and the right city and branch.
further more make sure you've got the right bank details from your seller and he has given you the right account number.
You should have an IBAN code with the bank code at the end, if this does'nt match your code on your transfer it may sit somewhere.
Your first priority is with your bank.

John

Hi Everyone,

It's not normal, the first time there was an error in the bank to
bank instruction from their end. Transfer was returned and then sent
again. Second time around it seems to have disappeared into space.

Here is the odd thing, the bank is the local entity of a well known
Canadian Bank. The trace has to be made by the Bank Head Office in
Canada.

A nightmare.

Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy
ask your bank (where u paid in) to put a tracer on the payment. They will follow the flow.
Canadian banks are not the most efficient, i've had money sent back before from them for no apparent reason. Don't be surprised if the amt received is less than $1000, as they take service charges all the time for no reason either.
The IBAN number makes it impossible for the receiving bank to loose any money.
Hope you find it!

I have no problem with Wire bank transfer, 5-6 days to Germany but fees cost £25.

I wouldn't use it for few years. Why not try Paypal?

Hi Steven,

I think it is a case of both of us being right, Collectors Corner
says "No longer Produced Models". Which this item is. But also about
the Wire Transfer so....I wasn't sure which and put it here. Totally
ok to move it.

JP.

ps. Not connected until 4th Jan, as I am sailing today.jp.
