The PBS TV show, Track Ahead, has a segment on Robert Allbrittons Z scale Gotthard Line layout. The five minute segment appears in episode 14 of the current series, 7. The segment features video of the layout in operation, an interview with Robert as well as a interview of Dick Taylor of Rail Dreams. There are also stills of the Gotthard line in the segment. Most of the equipment running is from Marklin, though a few locomotives shown are from Swiss Z Lines.

So check your local PBS listing and set your DVR to record. The complete series 7 can be purchased on DVD at:

Looking through their season listings, it looks like this is the first time a Z-scale layout has been featured on the show. Congratulations. Wish the video could be longer than a mere 5 minutes. I've seen pictures and it is a large layout and one could easily spend much more than 5 minutes showing it all.

Hi, Unfortunately my local PBS station doesn't carry the program. Does anyone know if there's a free torrent or video site that has it? Ps, while looking for it on you tube I stumbled on this budlight model train commercial parody- but don't take it to heart. wink
