I think the weathering is not very nice, rather like someone just sprayed some random paint on it to call it "weathered"... Is it a badly Photoshopped image? I wonder since the front wheels of the rear boggie are edited to not look so derailed, which they are... |

Oh my god,
This is real torture for eyes that could see [xx(]
Horrible! Why on earth they'd issue something like this?

It is a poor exposure picture, I think. |

It's really a sad attempt to make a few quick extra bucks!
It takes an even braver fan to buy this one as opposed to 37893... [xx(] |

Stephen, I think it is worse than just a bad exposure...
It is not weathered, it's destructive planless graffiti... |

To be honest, I prefer to buy a Marklin weathered lok from you instead, Cem! I think your DIY weathering works is still better than mother M*'s latest effort! |

I agree with Steven. I don't think the weathering is that bad. It's the quality of the photo that makes it look worse. |

Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Can't say I'll be rushing out to buy one. I'd say its not weathered at all, just a faulty spray gun on the production line.

I've had a few "factory weathered" locos previously, all of them were very unprofessionally "weathered". In fact it was not weathering at all; just random splashes of dull paint. If M* wants to make money on real "special" items they have to find a better way of applying weathering; could even get it done by hand. Now I wonder how the Trix Br44 will turn out One comment on the photo too: how on earth M* can approve a photo like this being shown? Don't they check how stores promote M* items? Like Juhan points to; front wheels of rear bogie are clearly derailed ... how idiotic ... how much it cost to take another shot? Cem. |

That's the first thing I noticed about the photo! Quote:[size=1" face="Verdana" id="quote]quote: Originally posted by tekin65<br />Now I wonder how the Trix Br44 will turn out Edited by moderator 11 January 2011 17:11:20(UTC)

There is a Loksound and mfx Loksound with Br44 sounds, but no mfx Loksound with 21 pin interface and Br44 sounds. AFAIK you have to get the only 21 pin mfx Loksound there is (62499), which has Br64 sounds, and load the Br44 sounds into that.

It's for oil fired Br44 only. I couldn't find sounds for coal fired Br44 on ESU site. Cem. |

Oh dear!
I'm thinking of getting a Lokprogrammer, so may be able to use that to read the coal fired Br44 sounds from my 37889 Br44. Won't be till after Christmas though!

Hi Cem, Dave... If you are looking for coal-fired BR 44 sound; ESU has it under 62402 "Dampf Universal 3 Zylinder" Available for download too...
No unique differentiation between a BR 44 and a BR 45 unfortunately... [:(] |

Doesn't look too bad in Reiner's picture, PÃ¥l?
Certainly better that in Stephen's picture.
