So I bought the 43982 set second hand. This is a lovely era1 set and comes with interior lighting and current conducting couplers.

Problem is, the set was missing the pickup shoe and I do not want to use current couplers to a loco.

The original part number was 200137. I asked a Marklin dealer if he could source it and he said it was no longer made. The alternative is 46667286 but that too is apparantly unavailable.

Can anyone help me out getting this pickup shoe - maybe you know a dealer who has one in stock?

Thanks!

Try Frey Import & Export in Langwarrin VIC. They are my local dealer and thankfully just down the road! Their web address: www.trainsetsonline.com. It will have all the contact details on their site. He usually has a good range of spare parts etc... Cheers Glenn

Try www.toottoot.co.nz and put Pickup shoe in the search criteria,
or another good source is http://www.helmutshobbies.com/

Scott always has a good selection of parts. In the US but postage is OK.

Our local Store could not get one??

Maerklin's web-site lists the 46667286 pick-up shoe in its parts inventory. I searched Walthers site since it is the USA Distributor for Maerklin and the pick-up shoe is listed in their inventory as orderable.

You may simply want to try a short version Maerklin pick-up shoe, something like the MA-7185.

Also worth trying Eckert Engineering on ebay - I've had a few parts for older Marklin from them, they deliver quickly and the prices are fair.

Thankyou all for your suggestions.
I'm sure one of these people has the pickup shoe in question:)
