I have what appears to be a Marklin ICE 3371. I opened it and there is a digital 8 address code. I think it is a 3671. When I put it on my digital layout it doesn't act like a digital and acts like an analog and goes automatically at one speed. Another issue is it won't reverse and only goes one direction on analog. Any ideas? |

Maybe it doesn't have automatic system detection, so you have to set the address code either to analog (all switches off) or to a valid digital address.
The original 3371 was analog only (no Delta decoder). No explosion diagram for 3671.
36xx locos should have automatic system detection, but have you tried all switches off? Is a valid digital address set? |

Ralph, when you say it does not reverse in analogue, do you mean that there is no reponse at all to the reversing pulse, or that the train does not move in the other direction? Do the lights change over when you activate the reverse? |

Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Do you have both locos connected? This set would have pick up shoe switching, so both locos need to be connected for proper operation. |

Ralph, try setting the address to an address other than 01 or 80 & see what happens & make sure the the two end cars are hooked up together. |

I tried about 12 different addresses and both locos are connected. The back loco operates but I think the issue is the digital address process isn't working. I have set it with all switches off. When I run it on analog and do the reverse action it just goes faster forward. |

You are not matching the code number of your loco with your digital address, you said it has a digital 8 address code. If you look at any Loco booklet you'll find the 80 code addresses. My guess it is 71 but I'm not certain. regards., John |

Hello together, with this pcbs you can convert you 3x71 to work with modern decoders, but there are some things you must know. - The head-lights could not be dimmed, becouse they are controled via a relay. - there is no pickup-shoe switching, like the original decoders do have. I have made a conversion set, that has all the missing features. Take a look to this here: http://hgh-esn.ath.cx/p0...v_lpx-2_LDP.htm?LDP-3x71I have build a lot of pieces over the last years and all buyers were very pleased. If you are interested, please contgact me via email. |

Hans, this is very interesting. apparently there is someone else ( http://www.digital-bahn.de ) producing platinen for the ICE (3371, 3671)to be coupled e.g. with an 8 pole ESU decoder (sound) so what does your electronic board do for the Ice. a.) seperate board for switching power from pick up shoe b.) Interior light ? c.) dimming of lights: head and interior lights ? d.)seperate functions for lights ? regards., John |

Hi John, as I sad: > I have made a conversion set, that has all the missing features. Once again: My version has .... 1. a pickup-shoe switch (extention kit) 2. dimming of head lights via the decoder 3. switching of Interior lights by separate decoder-function (F1) 4. 8-pol connector <u>.... future version(s):</u> - 21-pol. mtc-connector - cabin lights switching via extra-function - Interior-Lights with LEDs to reduce power - dimming of Interior lights |
