I am writing, because I have recently acquired an M-track turntable for my Marklin M and C-track layout. I wish to know if anyone out there can instruct me on how to wire-up this baby without using the controller that comes with it. I want to use toggle switches and push buttons instead of the cheap plastic controller that comes with the unit. I wish to hook the toggle and push buttons to the master control board on my layout. Please help me find a wiring diagram to do this. Thank you very much! Good-bye for now. Sincerely: Night Train

Well, you can always open the plastic controller and this way you can find how thw wiring is so you can reproduce it.

Hello Night Train,

I don't have a schematic but maybe you can try the following (based on what I can see on the sparepart leaflets version La 0981 ru and my experience with Märklin locos):
Assuming you have the 7186 turntable I think there are a red coloured, a brown coloured and two other coloured connectors at your turntable.
What I think is correct is that you should connect the red connector to the red connector of your transformer (Bahnstrom = track power), the brown connector to the brown of your transformer (O = common ground) and the two other coloured connectors via pushbuttons with moment contacts (push = make, release = open contact) to the yellow of your transformer (Lichtstrom = 16 VAC light power).
I think it will function then as follows: Red is trackpower for the bridge, Brown is common ground for bridge and turntable motor, PB 1 is for turning one direction, PB2 for turning the other way.
As noted before: based on what I see on the spare parts leaflet, sorry I don't have a scanner. (It shows there is a motor with an electromagnet, unfortunately there is no wiring diagram as with loco leaflets)
My old catalogues don't mention any indexing or so, so be careful what you do and maybee you should first check with a multimeter.

Succes, Tony.

I am not at home this weekend but I have one of those turntables I bought new in the late 70's. Assuming it is the same model, I would gladly scan in the instructions and e-mail them to you tomorrow night when I return home. If it has a model number on it, let me know.

The underlining hides the underscore between reynolds and jerry (looks like reynolds_jerry).. I wonder if this is the problem?

I'll resend it tonight when I get home. I didn't get a failure notice on it....wonder why?
Guess someone got a diagram and is trying to figure out what it is! Smile

Are you on dialup or broadband? Some dialup ISP's restrict the size of the e-mails you can download, and what I sent you with the four attachments is large. I brought them in on a zip disk this morning and will re-send them as four e-mails as soon as I get my morning stuff done here.
