Great job.

I've done my slightly different with using red - soft white led's, but you don't get 2 taillights you get 3.
Another option, as mentioned is to insert the led's directly into the hole (red - softwhite) and use a soft white for the top.
Having a look at the prototype the red marker lights are actually on top of the headlights.
Will do some alterations and get some pictures when I'm finished with it.

Amazing job. Thanks for sharing. The fact that the explanation is on a pdf document is a plus.

Thanks Ross its been a while since I have been to your web site, I see you have added a few things. I see that you also did a locpilot conversion to your Lady C, have you added a smoke unit to it yet? I have been wondering if the Locpilot 3 electronics can actual handle a smoke unit with out damage the circuit or if I need to add a relay.

Do you have a lokprogrammer ?
Your Smokgenerator is connected to Aux 1 and it does'nt damage your circuitboard.

Thanks for the info, it amazes me how such a tiny circuit board can handle the current.
No Lokprogramer yet but I will be getting an Ecos 1 in the future.

Hi John,
Thanks for your comment. There are a number of ways to improve the lighting, but I wanted to keep the original look of the locomotive.
I'll look forward to seeing you effort.
Question Time biggrin
You mention using red - soft white LEDs. Is this a combined LED or 2 individual LEDs? Can you supply details on part number and where you can get them?

Hi Brakepad,
Thanks for your praise and comment. I like the PDF format so when people find an interesting topic they can have a personal copy to try at some time.

Very nice work, Ross.

Thanks for the tip. Now the big hunt for "rear red light blind spots" will commence!

Hi Darrin,
Thanks for your comment. I haven't added a smoke unit yet to the Lady C, but the LokPilot decoder is good for 200mA output so as long as the smoke unit doesn't exceed this number it will work.

See John's comment as he has done this without problems.
