I have said in the past that if you could combine games with a digital layout you might get a new customer segment.
Yes, GamesOnTrack is a new Danish company. I do not know much about their system but some of the beta testers have made remarks on a Danish forum that it is of high quality. What may interest many is the ability to control their trains and turnouts by voice commands.

I really like the looks of the HAG railcar in Mike's slideshow (picture 12).
I also like the marklin factory model. Its big and maybe not practical, but if the price isn't too extreme I'd consider buying it. Is there any ballpark idea so far how much this would cost?
It would look great sitting between my M-track R1 (and 5120) curves, with some 1:100 scale tinplate coaches in front. No 1:87 scale coaches allowed near it.
Their TRIX steel mill scale kits were pretty expensive last year.
For non-MRR modeling, Greatmodels.com has some nice photos of many of the plastic model kits shown at the toy fair.

Thanks for the photos, friends!
I enjoyed the Preiser stand. Maybe I have to visit the next Toy Fare.
Best regards Svein, Norway

Hi Lutz,
Any word on what the gauge 1 insider model will be for this year, or is there not going to be one?
I wonder when the 150th anniversary class 120 will be announced?
Cheers
John

Thanks for that Lutz.
Not to surprised about the G1 locomotive, but very surprised that the 120 hasn't been announced yet.
A MHI2 item perhaps?

I see the marklin factory kit is selling for about $350 US pre-order price. Well, I will just have to wait and see what the outlook is economically before I buy that. Unfortunately I will be cautious in what I buy this year. No pork for MRR'ers, just congresspeople and their bigwig donors/lobbyists. Orders at work are as poor as I've ever seen and prospects for 2009 are bleak.
The only thing I'm committing to buying so far this year is the Capitole set.
