I need to remove the the shell from a Bavarian steam locomotive. In order to reach the screw, a plastic cap needs to be removed from the hood first. I've tried toothpicks, my figernails, twisting it, but nothing helps. I don't want to damage the finish on the locomotive.
What have you guys used?
Thanks. |
Best regards, Armando García

Only my fingertips. Straight upwards, and off the plastic cap goes. Just try a little harder |

It sure drove me mad with my BR18.4, until I realised the cap comes off partway down the hood, rather than at the top, which is where I had been trying. It should come away fairly easy, I just used my fingernail.
