Hi to all members,

I wish to all of you a great year with many new MARKLIN models in your collection.
wink
Do you know if Trix loco 22706 have the space for a micro decoder. If you believe that has, what type of micro decoder I am going to use.

Best regards,
John

Hi John,

The TRIX 22706 is a regular DC model Glaskasten PtL 2/2. It could most likely be retrofitted with a DCC decoder. TRIX Model 22021 had the decoder installed. It would be the TRIX NEM 8-pol decoder - You could most likely use the TRIX 66837 decoder. You can check with your dealer.

Hi John,

Taking the product description on the website (trix.de) in consideration, it seems like the model is not yet equipped with a NEM socket to fit a decoder. Hence, you would have to solder one into the model, not too much of a problem, provided that you're capable of doing a decent bit of soldering yourself.
Currently, there's only one decoder I would really recommend for locos with a tiny space to fit one into; the ESU Lokpilot Micro (ref #52687).
If you need any help or advice during your conversion, just give a shout here. wink Good luck!
Sander
