Hello Everyone,

I have been gone for about six months, but I am finally ready to get working on my layout again. (Got a little busy with work.) I had proposed a track plan early last year, but here is what I am thinking now, any comments would be appreciated as I have the table built at 127cm X 310cm. I just want to make sure I will have no regrets before I start building the inclines. Incline is 4% and bridge will just have lake/river underneath so no trains will pass. Thanks for any help and or advice and Happy New Year!

Michael

Hi Michael,
That is an excellent track plan for running and watching trains.
It is, effectively, a double track, with a reversing diagonal.
There is a possibility of a terminal station, or goods yard.
Effective for a small space.

Kimball

Hi Michael,

Happy New Year to you too and welcome back to the MMR world of fun.

I agree to Kimballs comments above.
However, once you drive the steamer (shown running counter-clockwise) through the reverse diagonal to run clockwise, I don't see how you can "back-reverse" it to run ccw ever again unless you lift it off the track and turn it or add a turntable somewhere.

Happy building and keep us with you.
Regards,
