Hi all, and happy christmas!!!

I have just purchased a 3319 model. Model has black wheels, but I've seen several other items on sale with same model number and which have red wheels.

Is it possible that same item (3319) is sold with red or with black wheels? If so, does it depend on manufacture date, or what?

Locomotive is very nice, is "very" black, but I think that it's some kind of contrast in relation to red-wheeled DB steamers.

Many thanks.

Hi there, if memory serves me right I believe they in fact did make both versions.

Hope that helps!

5HorizonsRR is right.

Mine looks like this:

Edit 29.12.2008: correct errors
This version was made in 1989 and 1990. Road number 50 685, <s>no number on the tender.</s>
The coupler pocket is installed by me. Originally it has a hook in front and a Relex on the tender.

In 1992 another version was made, with black wheels and red rods.
No. 50 1805, <s>9091.07 on the tender</s>.

Brakepad, to see the locomotive type and production year, refer to this topic:

https://www.marklin-users.net/fo...ault.aspx?g=posts&t=9325

But, even though Märklin Archiv says that 3319 version 1 was produced in 1989 and 1990, the serial number of mine is E1015639, which should mean that it is produced in 1991.

Finally it arrived and I converted it w/a 60760. Seller was very honest, stated that item condition was "as new", and it actually was...no marks on slider, box was perfect, it still had the three cloth pads for protecting the loco inside its box.
