Can anyone one advice of upcoming exhibitions in Germany Switzerland from Jan 27th-->31st in Germany and Feb 19th --> 24th in Switzerland and Germany.

I am already planning to see Minateur wonderland in Hamburg, the Modelleisenbaln in Berlin and also Marklin itself in January. In Feb I will call into the Swiss transport museum Luzern.

Not sure of other events or shows especially Switzerland preferably reasonably near railway transport as I will be using a eurail pass but will also catch cabs if needed.

Thanks

Sorry - I don't quite understand what you mean with the word "exhibitions", but if it stands for general railway events in Switzerland then this is the place to look:

If you mean flea markets/swap meets, then look here:

A large "toy fair" such as Suisse Toy does not occur in February.

The Galeria Baumgartner in Mendrisio is worth the visit. I do not know what their hours of operation are during the winter months.

If you are going to be in Europe in February, you may wish to check the schedule for the Nuernberg Toy Fair (Germany), which is Europe's largest Toy Fair.

Good travels

Thanks Unholz,
by exhihibitions I mean "toy fairs" with model railway layouts or permanent exhibitions and train museums and even live trains. I will more closely at your link later as I will need to translate it- your reply is very much appreciated to help plan my little train escape from down under.

Mike thanks for your input also. I would just love to go to the Nuerberg fair but I have other commitments during the time it is on but may be able to get back to Germany before going into Switzerland - I plan to ride travel the Glacier express.
I will check your link out later also - its now midnight in Australia and I thought I would just check if I had any feed back.

Thanks heaps
