I was looking for a paint applicator and found this on the web

If it makes a bug smoke, it might have shocking results if not used with caution.

I seem to recall the same. However, a quick search did not reveal that topic. I did find another topic on this, even including the same link:

talk to mmrcjohn for his static grass system. It was demonstarted to me last night, and I think it gives a good result, and is most economic to produce.

there was an article at least 15 years ago in Model Railroader about building a static grass applicator. I might have clipped the article and saved it. If I did I will post the issue number and pages.
I did buy one of the Noch 9V ones but have not used it yet.

The Grassinator has been updated. See it at: http://ztrains.com/pages/tech/g...sinator/grassinator.html. With an updated parts list and more complete instructions.

I just built the Grassinator per the instructions from ztrains. Once you start adding in taxes, shipping and 2009 prices, it cost around $40. I also found the instructions lacking after step 9 or so.
I did manage to finish it though, and I'm a complete novice when it comes to things like this.
