I had a Marklin train set Nº 29785: ICE train.
Now I bought a second set Nº 29755 with a digital mobile station.
Which should be the default dip switch settings to use the Database default record for this Loco: ICE 402?confused

Your ICE train has a delta decoder. You can set the dip switches to any address as long as it is different from the loco of your new starter set. Then you have to program your Mobile Station with the address of the ICE train. To do this, click on the Menu button (with the book symbol), rotate the red wheel till the display shows New Loc and select (push down on the wheel). Rotate the wheel till you see Address and select. Then rotate the wheel till you see the address that you set on your ICE loco using the dip switch and select. That's it. After that you can select the symbol, add the name of the loco etc. Now your MS is programmed with the address of your ICE train.
The manual of your new loco will tell you what address it was set at in the factory. You can also see it by selecting your new loco on the MS, click on the Menu button, rotate the red wheel till the display shows Edit Loc and select. Then rotate the wheel till you see Address and select. The address shown is the factory set address of your new loc.

Hi Manuel, and welcome to the forum, a true source of all kinds of Märklin model railway informations

Steventrain is correct.

On a Delta decoder, as in the ICE 402, dip switch 1 and 3 must be on to set the address to 60.
On a digital decoder, as in 29755, address 21 is switch 1, 4 and 7 on.

Good luck!

thanks to you all! I´ve picked the 60 address from the database list Tom Catherall sent to me and worked perfectly.
I will keep in touch because there will be plenty of new items in the Marklin experience.Smile

Hi Manueal, hi everyone else,

if you follow this link http://stummi.de/Digirechner.html you will find a calculator which helps you how to set switches to get teh wanted adress from 1-80.Does not work for delta only for digital 8 dip switch decoders from marklin.
It works in two ways.
1. Enter the wanted adress in the white blank field and then press teh button "Setze Schalter".
After that you will see how the switches have to be set to get the according adress.
2. Set the dip switches as you like and the adress will be shown in numbers in the blank white field.
This little tool made life so much easier for me when i used to play with my digital trains.
Regard from Karachi
