Hi,

This evening I fixed a detail on my BR 44 (37884) that was bothering me. Three pipes on the boiler are not connected to the steam distibuting device they are supposed to be connected to, see the device just below the chimney:

Compare this to a full scale (but slightly different) BR 44:

Since I had some small brass rods with - at eye sight - the same diameter, I decided to fix this. First I cut out the pieces with ordinairy scissors. They are quite small. I lost a few...

With the file on my Swiss Army Knife I made them to fit:

I attached them with super glue:

Here is what the it looks like after applying some paint:

Working on that machine I decided to give the cover of the lichtmachine / generator the proper yellow color:

Nice work. BUT, now I'm going to have to go look behind the smoke deflectors on my BR 44 . . .

It's not as noticeable with the Witte smoke deflectors in place. In fact, the mounting brace of the deflector would prevent adding the lower pipe anyway. I'll put filling in the top two empty spots of pipe on my "someday" list! Smile

Hi René,

It's small details that make the hobby very interesting. Good work.
