Hi,

Here is the second car from last weekend's weathering session. I decided that this car should be a relatively new one so I'd settle with light rust effect with very light sooth.

Because this car had way fewer surface features I have applied 5-6 layers of black wash for starters to accentuate them.

For the rust effect I have used Noch weathering set for the first time and I should say that it was amazing. After a light layer of fixing spray I have applied a bit of Tamiya sooth to the lower parts of the car. Dull clearcoat used to seal the work as usual.

Hope you'll like it - better photos this time! biggrin

Nice result.

Before you start, you could paint the handles in the bottom red with white background. Like in real life.

Do you use the Noch fixing spray? How does it compare to airbrush?

Best regards

Hi you all,

Thank you very much for all the kind words: I find this supportive attitude and praises encouraging to undertake bigger projects, very appreciated indeed.

The past weekend was again a weathering weekend - with a twist: we've had a great workshop with one of the best model painters. Pics and details I will post in a new thread during the week.

Regards,

Cem.

Sören hi,

Sorry for the laaaaate answer, I just saw your post.

Ok, I use Noch fixing spray between layers, but as the final layer I use dull clearcoat spray as Noch fixing spray tends to stay sticky after the work is complete.

And for the rest, thanks!
